How can I share a folder or individual images with clients?
You can generate a shareable link for any folder. If the folder contains subfolders, they will also be included in the shared link. However, only the selected folder and its subfolders are shared—not any folders above it in the hierarchy.
Clients receive a direct link and can access the shared selection without signing up. When they open the link, they have the option to add their name so that their feedback is attributed to them. However, they can also remain anonymous or update their name at any time.
When the link is clicked, a web page opens displaying the folder structure and images for easy review and collaboration.
Can I set different access levels for different clients?
Yes, you can restrict clients from downloading anything or allow them to download only low-resolution files, only high-resolution files, or both. Additionally, you can enable watermarks to protect your images and set a password for the shared link.
The Business Plan includes an advanced user management system, allowing more granular control over access rights and permissions on an account level.
Do my clients need a PIKD account to view or rate images?
No, clients do not need an account, nor do they have to sign up or download an app. They can interact with the images and leave feedback without any registration, making the process seamless and friction-free.
How does the commenting and feedback system work?
Clients can provide feedback in multiple ways:
✔ Star Ratings (0–5 stars)
✔ Flags (No, Maybe, Yes, Final, or None)
✔ Image Comments
✔ Scribbles with Annotations
Photographers receive real-time notifications when clients leave new comments. Notifications are sent via email and in-app alerts within the dashboard. Additionally, PIKD provides a daily summary email with an overview of all feedback received on shared projects.
Can I enable/disable downloads for shared images?
Yes, photographers can choose to:
✔ Enable or disable downloads (view-only mode)
✔ Enable watermarks on shared images
✔ Allow only low-resolution and/or high-resolution downloads
Clients can select single or multiple images and download them individually or as a ZIP file.
