🎯 What are custom badges?

Custom badges are visual tags you can attach to images to indicate their current status or purpose. Think of them like smart sticky notes that follow your files wherever they go.

For example:

  • “To Retouch”

  • “Final Layout”

  • “Waiting for Client”

  • “Comping”

  • “Social Cut”

Each badge includes a custom name and a color of your choice, helping you instantly identify the status of an image in a project.

🛠️ How to create custom badges:

  1. Click your account dropdown (top right corner).

  2. Select “Badges” from the menu.

  3. Click “Add Badge”.

  4. Give it a name (e.g. “To Retouch”)

  5. Choose a color.

  6. Hit Save — and you're done!

Your new badge will now appear in your badge selector when reviewing and marking images. Take the interactive tour below ⬇️

💡 Benefits of using custom badges:

  • Keep team communication visual and clear

  • Replace scattered email instructions with consistent visual tags

  • Use them for internal production steps (e.g. comping, approved, V2 needed)

  • Quickly filter or find images based on badges

  • Great for managing retouching, editing, and delivery pipelines

If you're working across multiple teams or steps in your process, badges make visual collaboration easier and more flexible than ever.
