What are Custom Watermarks?

Custom Watermarks in PIKD let you add your own logo or text overlay to your images to protect them from unauthorized use and ensure your work is always credited.

By default, PIKD applies its standard “PIKD” watermark to previews and low-res downloads—so your work is protected even if you haven’t set a custom one yet.

Does It Work?

You can create a watermark in two ways:

  1. Upload your own logo (PNG with transparent background recommended)

  2. Type your own text directly in PIKD

Once added, you can fully customize how it looks on your images.

What Can I Customize?

  1. Size – Make the watermark subtle or prominent

  2. Position – Place it in any corner or center of the image

  3. Transparency – Adjust opacity for a discreet or bold effect

  4. Type – Use your logo or typed text

  5. When Applied – Enable for previews and/or low-res downloads

How to Set Up a Custom Watermark

  1. Go to Settings > Watermark in your PIKD dashboard

  2. Choose Upload Logo or Type Text

  3. Adjust size, position, and transparency

  4. Select when the watermark should be applied

  5. Save your settings

If you do nothing, the standard PIKD watermark will remain active for previews and low-res downloads by default.

Why Use Custom Watermarks?

  • Protect Your Images – Deter unauthorized use and copying

  • Promote Your Brand – Keep your name or logo visible on shared work

  • Control the Look – Adapt watermark style to match your visual identity

  • Set Once, Reuse Anytime – Save your watermark for quick application on future projects

When Are Watermarks Applied?

Watermarks can be applied to:

  • Preview images (viewed in galleries)

  • Low-resolution downloads (e.g., 2000px JPGs)

Tip: High-resolution downloads can be kept watermark-free for final deliveries to trusted clients.

Pro Tip:

Use a semi-transparent watermark in the lower corner for a subtle, professional look—perfect for client previews without distracting from the image itself.
